We're Heading To Gadget Show Live!
Easter weekend is behind us, and for the VPS techs that means withdrawal from gadgets, not chocolate eggs…
Although we love a good celebration and a long weekend, it is the coming weekend that we’ve been looking forward to for a while. While much of the world will be eating their way through leftover chocolate eggs from their local Easter egg hunt, we will be geeking out over gadgetry and technology (much like every weekend). Being a global company we have bases across the globe, and this week it’s our London team’s turn to make other worldwide VPS.NET techs green with envy as they head to The Gadget Show Live.
Held over the coming weekend at the NEC in Birmingham, The Gadget Show Live is Britain’s answer to The Consumer Electronics Show. Showcasing the latest and greatest in consumer technology, The Gadget Show Live brings to life the Channel 5 television show of the same name, giving enthusiasts from around the world the chance to get up close and personal with the best in cutting-edge technology.
This year marks the show’s seventh year, and as with all things tech we’re unsure what to expect. We had a wish list as long as our arm when we came away from the Consumer Electronics Show, complete with autonomous cars, self-adjusting belts and a ring to open and shut the curtains. The buzzwords we’re hearing a lot about (and shouting a lot about) at the moment are the Internet of Things and wearable technology, and how the two technologies are set to work alongside one another to revolutionise the way we go about our daily lives. We predict these two technologies will be big players over the weekend.
As well as being able to take a closer look and even try out some of the world’s newest technologies, the presenters of The Gadget Show Live off Channel 5 will be showcasing some of the most exciting gadgets they have to offer. This means we will probably have to extend our aforementioned gadgetry wish-list. Sigh.
