VPS.net’s 12 Days of Christmas – A Partridge in a Pear Tree
We’ve reached December 25th, the long-awaited day. To wrap up our “Twelve Days of Christmas”, we’re taking a look at a web hosting Christmas miracle.
Merry Christmas! The time is finally here: time to open the presents, sing Christmas carols, eat delicious food, and spend time with loved ones. During the last 11 days, we’ve gone through each verse of “The Twelve Days of Christmas”, breaking down each part of the classic carol.
In the final installment of “The Twelve Days of Christmas”, our true love gifts us a partridge in a pear tree. Just as in the other verses, there is a “hidden” meaning behind this verse. Catholic tradition says that a partridge in a pear tree represents Jesus Christ. Some theories go so far as to say that Christ is the partridge and the pear tree is the cross.
To celebrate our last “Twelve Days of Christmas” post, I’ve written a poem that tells the true story of a web hosting Christmas miracle.
A Visit to VPS.net
‘Twas the night before the Christmas, when all through the ‘net,
Millions of websites were running, though some still not yet;
Some were designed well, others not so much,
WordPress being used frequently to add a nice touch;
One site in particular was making some noise,
As it showed a substantial amount of internet poise;
The functionality was flawless and easy to use,
The designer obviously skilled, letting his ideas break loose;
The appearance was clean, visually appealing,
It gave the user a warm, fuzzy feeling;
The site was optimized for mobile devices,
The designer obviously not concerned for rising prices;
Tests had been done to ensure search engine optimization,
Perfect coding gave the site a smooth formation;
There was only one problem with this new website,
A host was non-existent, keeping it from the light!
Luckily VPS.net came in to save Christmas day,
Providing cloud hosting to make the site stay;
A Christmas miracle no doubt, the site now online,
Clients swarming in ready to see the new design;
Old Saint Nick saw the site and was very impressed,
He now uses VPS.net, and they say he even confessed:
Cloud web hosting is scalable, fast, and self healing,
I’m a client for life, these services are very appealing;
There you have it, a Christmas tale to remember,
Now get on with your Christmas, we’re still in December!
Here at VPS.net, we want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May your holiday season be filled with good tidings of great joy.
